Another smart student of mine (who still has a year to go at high school) sent the postcard above. Apparently, she's also having a great time in the historical town of Schwäbisch Hall, which sounds like a semi-English name for the settlement, however, the word comes from the Celtic "hal" (meaning 'salt'), which refers to the fact that Celts distilled salt here way back in the 5th century. Who would have thought? Anyway, the postcard shows the "Henkersbrücke" over the river Kocher. A million thanks for this great postcard, Klaudia!
