A truly difficult place to get a mail from, French Guiana is a marvellous place in the Caribbean. The letter above was sent from Saint-Georges on 13th July, 2011. Although French Guiana used to have its own stamp but now they just use the stamps of France. Therefore it is a real thrill to see a real "Guyane Francaise" stamp on the envelope beside the two French ones. Even greater was my joy when I found a lot of postcards featuring various islands in the Caribbean. A million thanks to Fred!
