Greece has always been close to my heart, (although I haven't been there yet) because at university we had to master the language. I mean, the ancient Greek, not the modern one! Anyway, this postcard leads us back to the early 5th century BC, so precisely the time when they spoke the language I learnt (although it's a bit rusty now). Even in the stamp you can see something from the ancient times: a Greek trireme! These ancient warships were the best vehicles in naval warfare between the 7th and 4th centuries BC.

And where did the postcard come from? From Magoula, Sparta!!
