Greece

 Greece
Newest mail: 16 February, 2011

The mail was sent from Athens (Paleo Faliro suburb), Greece on 16th February, 2011. The cancellation is legible and the stamps on the envelope show soldiers brandishing spears and holding shields.

This other letter was posted in Athens, too, but I put it here because it shows a modern type of stamps. The picture is printed on the envelope and there's a sophisticated sign under that indicating that the necessary postal fee has been paid. Interesting, isn't it?

Germany

 Germany
Newest mail: 23 April, 2011

This simple letter was sent from Weiherhammer, Germany on 20th July, 2010. The cancellation is easy to read and the stamp shows a beautiful type of carnation, a Charterhouse Pink.

This other mail is the newest one from Gemany but there is nothing special about it. It is registered air mail but instead of the stamp there's just a self-adhesive on the envelope that shows that the mail was posted on 11th April, 2011 from Berlin.

Newest mail: 13 July 2011

A truly difficult place to get a mail from, French Guiana is a marvellous place in the Caribbean. The letter above was sent from Saint-Georges on 13th July, 2011. Although French Guiana used to have its own stamp but now they just use the stamps of France. Therefore it is a real thrill to see a real "Guyane Francaise" stamp on the envelope beside the two French ones. Even greater was my joy when I found a lot of postcards featuring various islands in the Caribbean. A million thanks to Fred!

France

 France
Newest mail: 3 July, 2011

The letter was sent from Dreux, France on 3rd June, 2010 as it is clearly legible on the cancellation. Interestingly there is not only a stamp on the envelope (showing Jean Moulin) but a self-adhesive. Probably the postal fee wasn't enough... but it also shows the particulars of the posting.
