Another smart student of mine (who still has a year to go at high school) sent the postcard above. Apparently, she's also having a great time in the historical town of Schwäbisch Hall, which sounds like a semi-English name for the settlement, however, the word comes from the Celtic "hal" (meaning 'salt'), which refers to the fact that Celts distilled salt here way back in the 5th century. Who would have thought? Anyway, the postcard shows the "Henkersbrücke" over the river Kocher. A million thanks for this great postcard, Klaudia!

Libya #301
Newest mail: 11 June, 2012
It's been a long time since I last wrote a description to my postcards. But this time I really have to comment on this one. First of all, I would like to thank all my friends out there to support this postcard project. With their help I've just passed the 300th different entity with only a very few left.
The second reason is the country of Libya. A bit more than a year after their glorious revolution, it is good to know that things are getting back to normal and that the postal system is working again. Although this specific letter was sent registered it's also a pleasure to see the stamps on the envelope commemorating the 1st anniversary of the Libyan Revolution.
Thanks to Abdul, and thanks once again to all of you out there!

This postcard came from three of my very favourite students, who are spending their well-deserved summer holiday in Balatonföldvár. Nothing is better than going to Lake Balaton after a successful school-leaving exam and having fun with friends in the refreshing water. Many thanks to Kincső, Niki and Vivien for the nice multi-view card and I wish you great summer and unforgettable experiences!
